Maintenance

  • S Series bucket is very simple to maintain.
  • 10 grease nipples, require greasing until grease is visible from rotor ends.
  • Best to grease the bucket with the shafts horizontal. This allows the rotor cassette to move letting the grease out.

  • Rotors are unique, the cassette is floating on the shaft, this means less shock and heat transfer through the drive line; bearings, chains etc.
  • Rotors construction is of Hardox, offering good wear resistance in the hardest of conditions.
  • The rotors are hard faced (HD models) this can be topped up with the use of hard facing wire or rods.

  • Drive chains can be accessed through removing the panel at the motor side; these should be greased with a spray approximately 100-150 hours use.
  • Drive motor retaining bolts should be checked within a few hours. Also drive chains can be tensioned by adjusting the motors.

Operation

  • Bucket can be fitted “Face shovel” if working of floor level or conventional for working off piles.
  • For best performance work the rotors left and right in short 5-8 second cycles, this skims off layers at a time from the product but also keeps the material moving inside the bucket.
  • Warning: Use of the bucket excessively in one direction will cause uneven wear on the rotors.
  • Be aware of the change in noise for when the bucket is nearly empty, running the clean stones over the rotors may cause extra wear but also the stones will be chipped away at. This doesn’t help production; gravity plays a big part in getting the best from the bucket, so fill the bucket.
  • The Bucket requires a third line “case drain” to allow access oil from the motors to escape during the quick shift in direction. Quick release couplings can be used with the S Bucket.
